I'M LIV

I grew up in a small ski town with a big reputation not far from Boulder called Aspen. Because of this, I started skiing the same winter I started walking and spent my summers exploring the Rocky Mountains with my friends and family. I spent a lot of my time growing up outdoors hiking, biking, skiing, camping, rafting, or playing sports. My brother and I both began competing in freestyle skiing in elementary school as well as playing lacrosse. I soon got bored of skiing and quit to play ice hockey where I went on to win 5 state league championships and multiple higher division championships. When I wasn’t playing one of my 4 sports, which wasn’t often, I was running around the small town with my friends causing all sorts of problems. My favorite thing to do was when my best friend and I would leave work just to freestyle terrible raps in her car. I also loved to paint and draw on hoodies, t-shirts, and shoes as my own way to express myself through fashion. I did ruin a few pairs of crusty old shoes, but it was how I got myself into art and creative visual projects. When I came to CU I originally was majoring in psychology because it was the only thing I saw as both academic and interesting, but I did minor in art. This led to me falling in love with a more creative career and ultimately transferring into the school of Environmental Design and focusing on product design as well as minoring in art.
