Brain Storm Blog #1

For this project I plan to lean into randomness and obscurity in order to challenge myself. I think it is a really great opportunity to become more relaxed within creatively and learn to make something meaningful and well throughout when given materials and tools without those characteristics. I have zero plan for the first steps of this projects in terms of which terms I take from the generator into the AI art generator because the words are random, but I do plan on using exclusively midjourney for my images as I have gotten a cohesive style so far. I also plan to stick to the text editing and audacity methods of glitching plus photoshop here and there when I need it as I love the textures and control I’ve been able to find with those methods. I hope that through this project I can form a cohesive, well crafted selection of images by utilizing images with similar colors, textures, and styles. I also plan to create a cohesive collection by they way in which I glitch the images, potentially creating a scale of ‘glitchiness’ coincided with a color gradient of sorts. I also think I will benefit from creating a really large quantity of images will be very beneficial to me as I will have a lot of options to be able to sort through in order to build this collection. It does make me quite nervous to give up this much control because I think it will be really challenging to create a meaningful collection that goes well together while compiling meaningless images.
