This video made me super interested in projecting onto designed objects like shoes. I am obsessed with shoes so I think it would be super cool to project onto objects that make up my personality while playing videos of the parts of me that cannot be explained by objects. Some ideas I have right now are to have my favorite pair of shoes with a video collage of a shoe design process projected onto them and moving across the shoes like in the video linked above. I have always loved shoes and anyone that has gotten to know me is able to pick up on that. In the future, I hope to be involved in shoe design in some way so I want to reflect that in this project. I also would have my hockey skates with another more colorful college of hockey footage (hopefully I can include some of me playing). I want these videos to haven a retro, nostalgic vibe as it is reflecting a lot of fond memories I had growing up. Some of the other objects could be a ski with funny ski videos and fails playing or a notebook with someone continuously messing up sketches as those are common in my life. Lastly I think having a record on the wall with a projection relating to EDM concerts and visuals that I would be live editing and messing with effects. Another area I’m extremely interested in for my future is designing and live playing visuals for concerts, particularly EDM or indie artists, so I am beyond excited to start experimenting now.
